What is Builtie?

Builtie is automated prospecting built on live construction activity. For M&A it reads the market as companies instead of projects: which firms of a given trade, size and territory are actually active, growing or slowing, and who runs them. Then it runs the outreach to those decision makers from your LinkedIn and email until a conversation is on your calendar.

  1. 01

    Screens the market

70,167 construction companies tracked, filtered by trade, territory, size and whether their work is rising or falling.

  2. 02

    Names the decision maker

The president or principal at each company, with LinkedIn and email where they can be verified. Coverage varies by market.

  3. 03

    Opens the conversation

Confidential notes that reference the company's real work, sent in your name, followed up, and booked onto your calendar. About 2 hours of sourcing a day, done for you.

Who we name: in Canada, the builder and developer behind each project and a decision maker there. In some US markets, where the public record lists them, the property owner too.

Buy-side and sell-side

One engine, both sides of the deal.

Acquirers use it to find businesses worth buying. Brokers and advisors use it to reach the principals of firms that fit a mandate, and the buyers for the mandates they already hold.

  1. Buy-side

    Find businesses worth buying.

Platform, tuck-in, succession or opportunistic: screen on trade, territory, size and real activity, then reach the decision maker directly.

  2. Sell-side

    Win mandates before they list.

Established firms with a long project history, reached through their principals before another broker calls.

  3. Your mandates

    Find the buyer.

Contractors and roll-ups already active in the trade and territory of the business you are selling, introduced in your name.

Hi Tony, I've followed Ridgeway Mechanical's work, including the two mid-rise jobs in Vaughan this year. We partner with owner-operated HVAC firms in the GTA and keep the team and the name. If you've ever thought about what's next for the business, I'd value a confidential coffee.

Not selling tomorrow, but I've been thinking about it. Coffee works.

Confidential, specific, in your name.

People who run good trade businesses ignore generic "we buy companies" messages. A note about the work they actually do, from your own LinkedIn, gets read.

Ridgeway Mechanical, and what comes next

From: you@yourcompany.com · To: Tony @ Ridgeway Mechanical

Hi Tony, saw Ridgeway has been on more GTA jobs this year than last. We work with owner-operators who want liquidity without losing what they built. Happy to share how a recent deal was structured, in confidence.

Their business, your thesis. That's why principals reply.

Testimonials

What our clients say.

"Most of our week used to go into figuring out who to call. Builtie just gave us the answer: real projects, real people, and a lot of conversations we honestly never thought we would get into. AI is taking on more, automation has made outreach almost instant, and every time I log in something is sharper than the week before. My team finally has a tool that works for them, not another database they have to clean up after."

"Builtie automated our entire outreach operation end to end. Prospect discovery, personalized messaging, follow-ups, and the CRM stays updated without anyone touching it. Colin and Sara walk in every morning to fresh conversations with builders and designers who are already working on real projects. We went from running outreach to reviewing results, and our pipeline has never looked healthier."
