The Daily Action Plan: What a Builtie Rep Does Each Morning

6:45am. Truck idling, coffee in the cup holder, phone in hand. Ask a trade contractor's best salesperson what they will do today and the honest answer is "whatever's loudest." The builder who called back. The quote due Tuesday. Loud is not the same as important. Builtie's Action Plan ranks the day instead, putting the project, reply or follow-up that matters most at the top.
The Action Plan is the fix. A list built overnight from everything Builtie knows about your projects and your conversations, with the best thing you can do this morning at the top.
What is on the list
The plan is grouped by the kind of action each item needs.
Hot leads. New projects that scored high against your profile, and projects you already know about whose stage just moved into your buy window. Each carries the project, the decision maker and a suggested opening line.
Replies to answer. Every LinkedIn or email reply classified as interested, a meeting request, a question or an objection since you last looked. The automation on those threads has already stopped. The next message is yours.
Today's route. The site visits worth making, ordered as a route rather than a list. More on this below.
Follow-ups. People to chase, ranked by how warm the thread is. A builder who accepted your connection yesterday outranks one who has never heard of you.
Meetings. Booked meetings, and the follow-ups due after them. The meeting nobody followed up on is the one that goes to the other guy.
Social matches. On Growth and Custom, builders and designers whose public social accounts show new project activity that fits your profile. Custom adds watchlists of specific people.
Every plan gets onboarding items, signal-triggered items and AI-generated items from reply and engagement signals. Growth adds social media signal matches and the events and exhibitions dashboard. Custom adds multi-territory plans.
A route is not a list with addresses on it
Sort a day of site visits by permit value and it looks sensible on paper. Then you drive it. Two houses on the same street land at opposite ends of the day with unrelated neighborhoods scheduled between them. Builtie's route optimizer orders stops by geography instead, clustering nearby sites and walking the day as a loop. In one real case that turned an 85 km day into a 26 km day with the same stops. Same visits, under a third of the driving.
When a tour is too big for one day, it is routed first and split second, so neighboring sites stay together. Split first and you get two bad days.
Site visits are not a Toronto-only feature, but the field data behind them is deepest in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), where Builtie's own team checks the projects that matter in person. Anywhere else, ask for live sample projects in your own city.
Where the items come from
Nothing here is typed in by hand. Items are generated from project signals, from the intent of replies, from booked meetings and from social listening, each deduplicated on a stable key so the same event never shows up twice. You can dismiss, snooze or complete an item; if you dismiss the same kind every morning, your profile needs a tune-up, not the list.
How Builtie fits
The Action Plan is where everything else Builtie does turns into a decision: the project feed, the decision-maker database, the outreach engine and the reply classifier all land here as "do this next." A rep who opens it at 8am and works it top to bottom spends the day on the builders most likely to award work, without a minute spent deciding where to start. The thinking happened overnight; the morning is for the truck.

Frequently asked questions
How does Builtie decide what goes on my Action Plan?
Items come from four sources: project signals (a new qualified project, or a stage change into your buy window), reply intent (a builder answered on LinkedIn or email), booked meetings (a follow-up is due) and, on Growth and Custom, social media signals matching the personas in your profile. Each item carries the project, the person and a suggested next step.
How does the route optimizer order my site visits?
By geography, never by lead value. Stops are clustered and ordered so the day is a loop, not a zig-zag. In one real case, the same stops that made an 85 km day sorted by value made a 26 km day sorted by route. A multi-day tour is split after routing, so neighbors stay on the same day.
Can my whole team share one Action Plan?
Each rep gets their own plan, built from their own profile, territory and connected accounts. Growth adds the events and exhibitions dashboard and social media signals; Custom is built around how the whole team works.
