Building Radar Gives Suppliers a Project List. Builtie Gives Trades the Person Who Signs the Subcontract.

Building Radar is a project-discovery platform that tracks construction projects and sells mainly to building-product manufacturers and suppliers. It does not find you new construction projects, and it does not tell you who at a builder or general contractor awards your trade. That is the part Builtie does: permitted projects at the stage your trade is still being bought, the builder attached, a verified decision maker named, and LinkedIn and email outreach on Growth. On October 1, 2026 Builtie held 37,383 projects in the electrical award window alone across six US metros. If you install, not just supply, the list is the easy half.

What Building Radar leaves to you

  • Finding the job. Building Radar works on the customers and jobs you already have. The builder with the next project still has to be found by you.
  • Finding the person. On a commercial job the subcontract is awarded by the GC's project manager or estimator, at a small builder by the owner. Neither shows up in a tool built around your existing customers.
  • Timing. Each trade is bought in a window. Electrical and plumbing close around 55% of the way through the build, drywall around 70%, flooring around 80%. Miss it and you are pricing for the next job.

Who should keep Building Radar, and who needs Builtie

Keep Building Radar for what it is built for. If your revenue depends on builders, general contractors and developers giving you the next subcontract, Building Radar cannot supply that pipeline and Builtie can. Across New York, Miami-Dade, Austin, Nashville and Chicago, 6,218 builders pulled a new-build permit in the last 12 months and 4,880 have a phone on file in Builtie.

Plans and coverage

Builtie's Starter plan is $79 per seat per month (CAD) for 20 projects; Growth is $99 for 50 projects and adds the LinkedIn and email outreach you run yourself. Opening a project spends one credit, and the decision makers, emails, phones and AI call script inside it are included. Your monthly credits reset at each renewal, and extra credit packs are valid for 30 days. The free trial runs 7 days with 10 projects. Custom, where Builtie's team runs the outreach for you, starts from CAD $1,500 a month on top of a Growth seat.

Builtie covers North America, with its deepest permit and contact data in the Greater Toronto Area, where it started. How much a city yields depends on what that municipality publishes, so ask for live sample projects in your own city before you buy.

Frequently asked questions

Is Builtie a Building Radar alternative?

For trade contractors, yes. Building Radar is aimed mainly at product manufacturers and suppliers. Builtie is built for trades that sell to builders and GCs: it times each project to your trade's award window and names who awards it.

Does Building Radar work for subcontractors?

It can show projects, but its product and buyers are centered on building-product sales. A subcontractor needs the stage, the builder and the person who buys out the trade, which is what Builtie supplies.

How much does Builtie cost?

Starter is $79 per seat per month (CAD) for 20 projects; Growth is $99 for 50 projects plus LinkedIn and email outreach; 7-day free trial with 10 projects. Billed monthly.
